I found on this site the best schemas or diagrams about aquaponics. There are many sytems in aquaponics and each of them is clearly drawed. Very hard to find drawings on aquaponics. Some sites offers a lot of information about hydroponics but nothing on the DIY side. On the contrary, some offers DIY plans but you have to find the information somewhere else. Here you will find both. What I loved about this site in particular are the four DIY plans. They are PDF files and 3 of them have 10 to 15 pages of instructions with many pictures. Believe me, I have seen many plans but these are excellent. The only weak plan is the one about the AutoPot. I was expecting plans using only the AutoPot valve as the heart of the system. This particular plan just show you how to use the AutoPot kit. Nevertheless, rated 5 in the hydroponics section. |

Growing Hydroponic Cucumbers in a Plastic Trash Container |
 Cucumbers can be grown in a large plastic trash container (30–35 gallons) by a simple noncirculating hydroponic method that does not require electricity or a pump. The grower fills the trash can with water, adds the correct amount of fertilizer, places the lid on the container,
and seeds or transplants a cucumber plant into a forestry tube inserted into and held by the lid. No additional water or fertilizer are needed. The crop is normally terminated
when most of the nutrient solution is consumed.

This site is a perfect example of adding value to the Internet and in particular, to the hydroponics world. Some people are givers and Gary Ibsen from tomatofest.com and the inventor Ray Newstead are certainly part of them. If you have been looking for a KISS hydroponics system then you have found one. Is is based on the wick system but with a unique twist! You will get 3 videos and and a set of very detailed instructions on how to build it in PDF file. Excellent! Excellent and excellent!
