| Open Question: What class should I pick? |
In my high school there are two main focuses, being sciences (agriculture/aquaculture/environmental) and technology (ocean engineering, marine construction, vessel operations), and I am torn between finfish production and ocean engineering. I much prefer fish production and it is what I plan on doing, but ocean engineering seems like a useful subject and I figure that though I am no good at it, I may need to know that stuff. Anyways, both teachers are fighting over me and it will be my senior year and I want to enjoy it, but I also want to get the right information. I'm leaning towards fish production, but it's subject to change.I consider myself a good student, I have aminimum of 3 A's out of 5 classes, the lowest grade I've ever had in high school is a B-, and I've been on the honor roll every marking period. Interesting responses. Rating: 0.00 (0 votes) |

| Open Question: Is it fair that animal welfare isn't a bigger deal in politics? |
I understand that people care more about their own problems than those of animals. However, is this just? Whenever animals make it into politics, they are usually dogs or endangered species. Farm animals and aquaculture stock are rarely mentioned. The Humane slaughter act is very limited. Shouldn't Americans value animal liberties? Shouldn't the president stand in front of the people and announce that factory farming is against American values of freedom and happiness, even if this move is unpopular? Rating: 0.00 (0 votes) |

| Open Question: What brand of 5mm wetsuit is best? |
Im a commercial aquaculture clammer working out of new jersey. I wear a wetsuit and work overboard tending my clams, catching them, and planting new ones. I have two suits: a 7mm aqualung wetsuit in mint condition for this winter that's good under all conditions, and a 3/2 mm neosport I'm wearing currently. Problem is my 3/2 is ruined and leaks. I need a new 5mm or 5/3 mm suit without a hood to tie me over. I use a hooded vest with my suits when needed. I ordered a 5/3mm aqualung but the dive shops stringing me along. Henderson and neosports are of too low of quality for the jobs I do out in the bay. Please steer me in the right direction on a good dive/surf wetsuit. The 5mm suit I'm looking for I prefer it zips up from behind and must not have a built in hood either Rating: 0.00 (0 votes) |
