| Resolved Question: Growing Hydroponic Rhubarb (Any hydro guru pls)? |
I have successfully grown Glaskin's Perpetual Hybrid Hydroponically (It dies here(hawaii) in the soil, perhaps due to heat?) in Flora Nova at 6ml per gallon, in a 5 gallon DWC bucket, much stronger and I get tip burn. So it's about 1.5 feet tall, and happy. It's been growing for about 5 months.But I want more growth, I want more then one growing point, and actual pies :)The roots look good, but I bet could be better although what do I know?Would ebb and flow be better, would aeroponics with an ultrasonic fogger work?Finally is there a better nutrient I can use? Is a complete nutrient chnage every 2 weeks good enough?

| Resolved Question: What makes PH drop?? Aquaponics Related? |
Have an Ebb & Flo system with Bell siphon. Using Hydroton as grow media. All plumbing is PVC. The only metal in the system is 2 hose clamps (stainless) and an inline copper valve (submerged) to regulate flow.THE PROBLEMI cant get the PH in the system above 5?!? The water from tap is over 8, and even if i do multiple 30% waterchanges, the next morning, it is back around 4.9 - 5.1ph..... I am at a loss, I can kill a feeder fish in under 24 hours with just my water. I also should state, i started this project with a full system of R/O water, and had the same issue... System is in direct'ish sunlight.Edit: Also have external mechanical canister filter. using 1:1 ratio for grow bed/Fish tank. Tank is 50g.
