The have very detailed plans ( PDF) and many videos available. There are right now in a campain to become an official non-profit organization. Here is what I received by email yesterday:

Hello All,

It's the last week of the year, and the last week to pledge money to The Windowfarms Project's Kickstarter Campaign.  So far 156 kind folks have donated to our fund-raising campaign and we've made $20,879 -- that means we're 84% funded with seven days to make it to $25K (and beyond...)! If we don't hit our mark, we don't get any of the pledged money. So please please please help us with this last push to reach our goal! Any donation, even if it is $5, is a huge help.  If you've already donated, you are a total superstar. Now fire up your network and turn your friends into superstars!!  Our campaign ends at 2pm EST next Monday, January 4th.

A tract of land, measuring 6.89 acres, was donated to The Volunteer Way in 2008.

We wanted to use approximately 1.5 acres of land to grow vegetables for the less fortunate families of our community.
